Job Description:

  • In this role, you will work with the Lead Data Engineer to serve as the technical experts within the Business Intelligence & Analytics group to support firm-wide reporting needs.
  • A strong background in DOMO combined with writing complex R scripts is highly valued.
  • An ideal candidate is adept at integrating, transforming, and wrangling large datasets in preparation for reporting and modeling.
  • Significant experience in interpreting business needs into technical requirements that will translate into robust and scalable data designs will serve as a foundation to create intuitive and user-friendly dashboards and analyses.
  • Experience in data science such as training statistical models using machine learning algorithms is a plus.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 0-1 year professional experience working in an analytically focused role
  • Capable in scripting with R , Python, and Java programming languages
  • Experience working with mainstream BI tools such as DOMO, Tableau, or PowerBI
  • Experience working with database administration tools such as SQL and ETL
  • Advanced Excel knowledge required (pivot tables, formulas, automation)
  • Hands-on experience working with relational databases/large datasets to derive insights and make recommendations
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, build relationships, and excel in team and cross-functional environment
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skillirements:

Responsibility:

  • Design and maintain Magic ETL and MySQL dataflows for sustainability, viability, and efficiency to support firm-wide reporting needs from various departments and stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain R/Python scripts to support PDP management, group management, user account management, and task automation
  • Build and maintain intuitive DOMO cards/dashboards based on BI best practices
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends in complex data sets
  • Receive and respond to requests for data/ad hoc reports
  • Convert ad-hoc reporting to normalized/automated reports when the need arises
  • Validation of new reports and quality control of existing reports to ensure accuracy
  • Retrofit outdated/cumbersome existing reports
  • Update distribution lists and permissions for automated report recipients in DOMO
